Thinking about selling mclaren for a sky.

Thats true just save up enough for a good down payment ($2000). If you have good credit then you could probably get a good finacing and you would be all set. Then you could keep the ascMcLaren

Im probably the only one on here that would say that if you have to make a choice......

buy the sky, but only in the turbo redline version.

handles better, stops better, driveability is better, mileage is better, its faster, I could go on.

Better yet, see if you can still get a mallett conversion with an ls2 in it, lol.

Seriously tho, how much is it ultimately gonna cost? Im not sure its worth 18-20k to make the switch. but if you can get top dollar for your car, then it could be a good time to "upgrade".

ALso, I might be jaded because my Lx left me stranded again today. and no other non-ford product that I have owned has done this yet.

Ok, think. That ascMcLaren is going up in value. His car has 39,000 miles on it. so that car is worth about 20,000. Sure the Sky handles better, stops better, driveability is better, mileage is better, its faster but you have to think if you bought it and drove it across the street and trade it in. All the sudden it is worth 10,000 dollars less.
So keep the ascMcLaren

, The only time a Ford has EVER LEFT US STRANTED was when my dad had his 1984 1/2 Mustang GT350 20Th anniversary edition Mustang all that went wrong was a alternator went bad ( It really did'nt leave us stranded because we could drive it on the battery.
But my grandpa had a Perfect F-150 Truck and he traded it in for a Chevy S-10 Pickup Truck (Big Mistake) at 30,000 miles the alignmentt shims fell out ( Ford last used shims in 1967 or so.) and the wiring harness came loose for the lights, and at 50,000 miles the altenator went bad. a car is not suppose to do that, that early

Do you still drive the ASC? if not I would by the Sky Redline edtion and drive the wheels off of it.

Yes I still have the ASC.

I may wait a year or two to pick up a SKY redline. The reason is that ever since cars have been sold newer models of the same car have always gained more horsepower. If I wait two years and the SKY makes over 300hp then I will be a happy

I ordered the new car this weekend. It will take about seven months for it to arrive.

I also am going to put my car up for sale on Ebay.

I would love to keep it but I need the money for the new car.

I read that there is a 6 to 8 month wait for a Sky. I read that it's the looooongest wait for a new GM car, since 1967 when the Camaro came out! I heard that every one built, has a waiting owner & is "Built-Sold" and that buyers are paying MSRLP. This has only happened about 10 times in my lifetime. The original 2-seat 1955 Thunderbird, the aforementioned Camaro, the 1964-1965 Mustang, the original 1987-1988 Cadillac Allante, the Lincoln Mark III of 1968-1969 and a few others.
My local Saturn dealer has none, and has 32 sold on order, he told me. I went in to get a brochure. None of those, either.

Like it or not, it's heartwarming to see a huge success for an AMERICAN car. {Eat your heart out Honda} !
