Love my Calendar car!

Post by ASCMCLRN »

I was wondering if anyone is interested in creating a calendar of our own personal cars. Basically this discussion kicked up in another thread called updated Pictures, link below. Any feedback would be appreciated here thanks.

Ok being that this seems to be rather late in the game to start our own calendar, would it be possible to get this done by the holidays? If not do we have any computer programming savvy people that can make a computer calendar or better yet a screen saver for the rest of us with the submitted car pictures? I think a screensaver would be awesome and a person can add more of his/ her own pictures as time goes by!

Mike suggested using http://www.cafepress.com/ in the prior thread. I visited this site and played with creating a Calendar. The Custom Calendar runs $14.99 with a promised 35% discount for orders of 15 or more. The pages on this particular one are 8.5 X 11 inches and fold open to 11 inches wide by 17 inches long with the picture on top and days of the month below. The sample 1600 x 1200 pixel picture I tested out filled the page with a perfect fit. I would suggest those thinking of making a calendar or submitting pictures for one, visit this site , select the cards & print section and begin to create a calendar so that they might see how it would appear. It takes 1 to 3 weeks to produce and then shipping time would be added on top of that. This would be shipping to one and only one address. I do not think there is enough time to hold a vote or obtain 12 pictures, collect money and then get all this completed before Christmas. FEP has been trying to put a Calendar together for several months now and they have not been able to collect 12 photos. I do think this is due to their requirement of a minimum 5 meg picture.

Thanks for the web site Mike! I might create a family item for the holidays... :D
