Okay now I am better armed.
These are not earth-moving differences, but it's why I liked the Black Magic (BM) better than the Crimson Cat (CC).
The BM was built upon the Capri RS base car. The CC was built upon the "L" model, which BTW, was NOT the lowest. The Lowest was called only "Capri". Then the "L" (I assume for "Low") and then the GS and then the RS and then the "specials" ~
Okay. These are the items that were included on the base car that was to become a BM ~
* Deeper Cut Pile Carpeting (14.5 Oz.)
* Luxury Level Door Trim Appointments
* Driver's Side Map Pocket
* Light Group ~ (3rd Door Courtesy Light Switch > Ash Tray & Glove Box
Lights > Dual Beam Lights between the Sunvisors > Underhood
Engine Compartment Light > Headlamps "ON" Reminder Buzzer.)
Now, the base price of a 1983 BM was $ 8,629.00 while the base price of a CC was $ 8,225.00. So..... even though the CC came out at MID-YEAR, and the BM was out there in (1983 model) in September of 1982, the BM was still $ 404.00 MSRLP more than a CC.
I was in error before when I mentioned the tires. Both cars recieved the same tires. The BM had the 3 spoke Metric Wheels in Gold, while the CC had the Cougar rims.
My Choice If I could order today, brandy new ?
