Does anyone know the breakdown of how many v8's white magic's were made? A friend of mine is the original owner of an 82 white magic w/ a 5.0 Liter. It needs a resto and he's going to start it in the spring. he has looked to find this info and can't locate it on sites like FEP...

Just wondering if anyone here might know the answer?

Sandy would be the only one with that info....if he does have it at all. I have never seen breakdowns yet.

After your buddy has completed the resto and wants to sell the car, have him give me a call. My desperation for a (White) Black Magic increases by the day.

noascyet Ford did NOT keep "Combination numbers" (i.e. cars with 8-track tape player that were bright red or White Magic with V-8, (or any other engine) or black cars with leather interior, etc)..... No combo numbers, just single item installation numbers. You can find those in the 1st post of this thread, back on page 1.

I remember my white 82, White Magic car.

Loaded, V8, auto, t-tops, the black and white seats. Unfortunately, I bought it when it was too far gone, and I foolishly removed all the gold striping without knowing what the car was. Then I was sorry I did... Still my favorite car to this day.

Hey guys my 83 CC was built from an RS-- says so rite on the jockey bock lid. Am I wrong or is this not the High end of the Capri.
I didn't go back and see but I think that is what Sandy wrote in th article back in the 90's. It is not from the L

Also I am thinking more and more about selling.

"Crimson Cat Equipment Over "L"

Had it been based upon a GS, the guide book would have stated
"Over a RS"

I know & have seen the Red & Black circular emblem on the dash that says RS, but truth told, she was built up from an "L" base equipment level.
