Dropped my car off at the body shop today

I am having some work done on my 85 convertible, the body shop is going to paint the nose and repair a dent in the rear quarter. Once they are done with it off it goes to the shop down the street to get a new top installed. I should have it back in a few weeks, I can't wait to see how it looks once these two things are done, hopefully they don't take forever to finish it. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get it back.

Question: Was the Red on the 85 ASC Maclaren Capri convertibles metalic? The body shop owner looked at my car when it was outside in front of his shop and he said it looked like it has some metalic in the paint, was that normal or was maybe my car resprayed at some point with a non-stock color?

If it has metallic in it, it's been repainted.

Thanks for the information. I just called the body shop and told him what you said, he said it looks like the car has a clear coat with a small amount of metalic in it, he is going to ccomputer olor match the paint so I should be ok. Anything will look better than it does know so even if it's not 100% perfect match I'll be ok with it.
