I was just showing it for referance - but, truth is...it IS EXACT to his 1988 ascMcLaren, regarding the paint scheme. This car's rear spoiler appears to be black, as was his, also. At the rear, the area around the taillamps and the rear bumper cover were red. The trunk lid ended the black. The hood was black as were the tops of the front fenders, and also the tops of the rear fenders. The tonneau was also black Interior was the red (Scarlet), and the vinyl applique was red, but he had it changed to black.T The front & back were "connected" by about a 1 inch strip of black that curved around from the hoods cowl and went down the upppermost side, ending like 1/2 inchbelow that moulding that comes to a < just above the door handle. That strip sontinued rearward to join the deck lid. The body sides were ascMcLaren Red. Almost, no, actually identical to the above photo.
I do not know if the original owner still has it or not. The black & red were seperated by a thin single white stripe (shoelace).......
Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.

I just received my MM&FF mag last night and it has this pic in it. It says that this car is the Roush Limited Edition Roadster. You can get it in Torch Red, Redfire, Vista Blue, Silver, or Grabber Orange... all with the Black across the top. Only 100 will be built... I guess Roush got the paint idea from Bowling Shoe...LOL
