A little not-so-good heads up

Post by Sandy »

Monday morning I will be having surgery. I will be home by late monday afternoon E.S.T. ~ but will be in too much pain to be on this (or any) web site. It's a 3 hour ordeal, and painfull afterwards. So, if anyone sends me a PM or a question on here, I do not promise a reply, as I'll be sleeping, ALOT, for about 2 to 3 days.

Do you recall the story about the time that nasty-assed customer told me to "Shove that car up my @$$ ?" Well.....it was a Dodge Omni and it's beginning to rust, and they have to tow it out, now

So, okay, just wanna let ;ya all know that I will NOT be ignoring you all Monday & Tuesday....just sleeping it all off.

Yes, I am very scared. It's far from even remotely "Life threatening" ~ but still painful.

It's Dental. On Monday AM I am having 2 extractions and 2 root canals.
Heal for 3 weeks, then in 3 weeks 2 titanium implants into the bone.
Then 3 months to heal and then the teeth get screwed into the implants. ((all because I really don't want false teeth)) !!

The Omni is a small car you should have passed that by now, lol. Anyways my thoughts and prayers are with you. Wish you lived closer so I could help you in some way. Take care.

Over the years, I really only had 2 "Customers" get abusive. Most, I must say were pretty nice. Many were really dumb, but they were pleasantly dumb. I had alot of nice ones, too. Every-so-often I'd get a "tip" ~ which really meant alot to me, since folks rarely tip their car salesman. It was not always with money, sometimes a nice gift. The best gift was (now, remember this was in the late 1970s) was a guy - oh, around age 40 who worked for CBS in New York City. He brought in a box, sealed, when he came to pick up his new Charger. He set the box down, by my desk, but said nothing. When I was done with the paperwork and had gone thru delivery explanations & he was ready to leave, he said that I might have noticed a large box he carried in with him. He said "That box is for you, Sandy" So, he left & I opened it. Inside were 100 brand new, sealed in plastic 8-Track Tapes from Columbia House CBS Recordings.

I got some $20 dollar bills here & there and a bottle of cologne and a pen & pencil set.
I sold the LEADER of the NEW JERSEY sect of Hells Angels, a Dodge Coronet R/T 440 Coupe (Post Sedan) and he actually gave me a sterling silver switch blade knife

Good luck!! I didn't go to the dentist for over 10 years... fortunately, I didn't do too badly when I did go. 2 crowns and 3 cavities. The crowns were due to cracked teeth from mercury-amalgam fillings and a propensity for chewing ice.

Funny, it wasn't the pain, more the fact that they get up in your face. Now I use nitrous :D

3:15PM Eastern Standard Time & I am home. The surgery lasted 90 minutes. It was bad, BUT not as bad as I expected, UNTIL I got home, at 1:00PM, then the left side of face began to really swell up, and is now slightly black 'n blue. The novacaine wore off & was replaced with accute pain. I am dizzy from the pain killer pills & the pennecillian to ward off infection. I have 21 days, and on April 30th I return for # 2 (of 2).
I am very hungry, and cannot eat until evening. I have 3 stitches. The implant is allready in. I just wanna sleep.
