I really can't say. What I do know is that money in the bank is always the best. It's guaranteed (FDIC), it makes interst monthly, it's safe and can only go up. Ditto very expensive artwork, but they are usually in the millions, and few folks have the knowledge to buy & sell those items. Cars, I view sorta kinda like stock. It may go up, it may go down or it might stay the same. But unlike stock, you can enjoy & have fun with cars. You can drive them, and / or just show them (as I do). But unlike stocks, it's costly to store them (Boy, do I know!) I do it for my own pleasure. I will probably die before my wife, who will sell them for sure.
I would say my Grey Coupe should beworth its original window sticker price which was around $16,000. Now figure this, $75.00 a month storage times 21 years, I've paid storage ! $18,900 in storage ! I've lost $2,900.00 !! You never financially win with cars unless you buy low and sell it within 5 or 6 months for high.
Just enjoy it in any way that best suits you.

NO WAY!!! all that yea. but that thing is MINT i was thinkin..23,000. but idk, i do PRAY dearly these cars make it to barret jackson. i dont think the'll be like the BOSS or SHELBY's of the 60's. no cars being made today can ever obtain that kind of status an old SS or super bee can make but that car is like new. rare. ah i guess we'll see. i know im excited to see where mine takes me
Seems we all have our own opinion on what a cars value is. One thing should be clear we all have a right to our own opinions. Depending upon whether you are buying, selling, or have another agenda you tend to see some natural bias which is ok. If you happen to disagree with someone do it constructively making a point versus bashing or belittling someone. Me personally I like to keep an open mind that everyone knows something we can learn from. You can try to make a valid point by referencing what similar cars have sold for, perhaps speculate from experience of like items or in some cases just allot of luck lol.
I also believe that Sandy's car is one of those cars you have to hold onto to find the right buyer willing to pay what you feel its worth. To me its a Museum peice that would become priceless. However that doesnt mean the market would agree. You just can't estimate it's potential worth.
Being rare doesn't always mean something is worth more. It just means its harder to obtain, but what happens when no one is interested? Just look at the Bricklin for example. Next some might say brand name recognition but that would mean the Shelby Omni or Lancer would be a sure thing. Sometimes I wonder if it's a science or roll of the dice? Sandy hit the nail on the head mentioning cars and real estate being so unpredictable. First thing is just consider the financial obligations as Sandy touched on. Its a big responsibility maintanence wise, storage, insurance, etc... Its real late now I will finish up on this rant later lol.

Touching upon insurance. Special Interest car insurance is cheap. I pay $250 a year on each McLaren AND the Caddy. That's $1,000 a year in expensive N.J. for 4 cars. The Coupe, the subject herein, is only $250. I really really strongly suggest you all (I sound like Texan, now) contact Grundy Classic Car Ins. They RECOGNIZE our cars,

I think.....
You have permission to mention my name. YOUR rate may be different depending upon your state & your age, but you'll find no better ins. coverage and none less expensive. They are in Horsham, Pa on the Jersey boarder.

Sandy what sort of information do you need to have for their insurance? How much do they cover? How many miles per year are you allowed? Thanks.Sandy wrote:Touching upon insurance.
