Fast idle?

Being kind of a newbie at this I run the risk of bringing up topics that are in the arrhives?

My 85 Capri Vert has a fast idle situation. It runs about 1000-1100rpm at stop lights and before I shut it down. No dieseling it shuts tight.

Some times at idle it kinda blump blumps a bit. it could be a fuel thing as it is a bear to start but then I am used to and spoiled by not setting a choke prior to start.

Did I read somewhere that some of the cars shipped to ASC had a 303 Cam? And that since they were mixed in with the entire shipment you really weren't sure if you got one with this cam or not? (I have no paperwork to refer to)

Funny story sorta. I drove the car to work yesterday. Out of the shop and one of the fix it things was to take the driver's side front window trim piece and readhere to the car. This was done with some black adhesive tubular stuff. Pretty sticky. Twice at about 60mph and after 20 minutes or so the wind gets under the trim piece and the thing pops up off the windshield.

I finally pull over go to a parking lot and look at it. You make that decision then and there to go practical vs cosmetic and I take a piece of the adhesive and lay it so that I can push the front trim in the middle of it. Took my finger and smoothed it out to create a wind barrier and then drove home without it coming up again.

My car is a 5' footer and it doesn't show and at least I don't have to fool with it anymore....maybe......sorta??

Verts didn't get the b303.

What is your car, CFI or carbed (automatic or manual transmission)?

Highly likely a vaccum leak. Might be a problem with EUC. As Mike suggests a visit to FEP would be advisable. There are some great people over there with tons of knowledge.
