found another one

Post by 86capriasc »

I ran into a guy a the gas station this morning that said he has and 85 coupe with four hundred some miles on it. Hopefully he comes to this site.

He said his car is a grey 85, that he bought from the original owner. The original owner supposedly had a stroke shortly after purchasing the car and was unable to drive a stick after that. So, the car sat in his garage for years.

I really hope he registers on this site now that he knows about it. I forgot to get his name or number. I would really like to check the car out.
He lives a town away from me here in wisconsin. He also said he has an 83 capri also, as do I. It is nice to know there is another ASC near by.

Just thought I would let you all know there may be another car located.

IF it's "GRAY" as he says, it's an '86. If it's an '85, it should be either Navy Blue -OR- White. 400 miles is lower than mine, at 688. I have some doubts. I hope he arrives so I can find out more about it.

maybe he meant convertible, I'm not sure. It was Monday morning and I was in a hurry. you know how that goes.
Hopefully he will register or I will run into him again.
I'm pretty sure he said it was a grey 85 though.

Grey was only available on the 1988 Mustang ascMcLaren convert. ( " Gunmetal " )

Normally, I'd think maybe it's silver..... but silver was only available on the coupes in 1986. I have a hunch it's a silver 86 coupe, that he probably bought IN 1985 !

well who knows, I guess he was just a wanna be. I told him about this site, and he said he would check it out. I think if it was me and I was just finding more info on our cars I would definitely stop in here and register.

He seemed to know a bit about these cars though, so I guess we wait and see. Like I said I was tired, in a hurry, and it was early monday morning.
