Looks like the sanding is coming along can't be sure but do not think the inner front quarters are to be cut like that wonder what was up there.

Yah there is alot of cutting and hole that should not be there. The previous owner I gather was using it for a drag car. The back area has been hacked up pretty bad and is gioning to take alot of refab to get the top and tanue cover working properly. It will never be a 100 point restoration show car. I think that is kinda good couse I can retro the car my way without having to worry about distroying it and the original value, someone else has already done that for me. I am going to take some more pics today and post them. I have the carpeting and seat in it know and the motor and trans. It is starting to come togeather. Just hope it is done enough for the Dream Cruise.

Well, I give you alot of credit for taking on this project. Its nice to see someone saving an ASC in need. Good Luck. Hope you make it to the dream cruise!

Yes it looks like the former owner of that asc was hell bent on subtracting it from the survivor total numbers of the 85 verts. But looks like it is on it's way back to being on the road and back total the total left!

Yep I plan on getting her back on the road and being enjoyed but it will never be an example of what a complete, correct ASC Mclaren is. Like I have said before I am going to use up as many parts that I have from other projects to put it back together. Today I iinstalled a pair of Mark VII front seat out of a 65 Bill Blass edition. they are in really good shape (tan suade with blue), I cut and fitted blue carpeting out of an 84 stang that is beeing parted out. It looks sharp togeather. Try to get some pic tomarrow if it stops raining. I have two gallons of Dodge Viper Blue I think I will use up to paint the car. Should bring the blue in te interior out and macth pretty well..

I love it! With that car you can both save an ASC and do what you want to "resto mod" the car without worry or feeling bad about hacking up and original.
