Refinished ARE's

Post by mustangjim »

Hi All-

Here is a picture of the ARE's I just refinished. The color is a custom blended "Competition Orange" that is slightly brighter than "Popsicle Orange".

I think they look very nice i had a wheel shop do a set for me years ago with the same grabber orange i was not 100% satisfied because it was on a blue 85 coupe so did not match the strips but the color looks really sharp on your white one!

Car looks beautiful ! I was never a fan of those things you have on the front. Bug Shield? (Is that what they are called?) OR anti stone chip vinyl? I dunno, but i'd take that off. The wheel look very good and the car's condition is fantastic. Best of all, as a EuroCoupe, it's text-book perfect in placement of decals and the stripe. Can we see pictures of the rear of the car ?

Hi-

I say "slightly brighter" as my Popsicle Orange OZ wheels had faded some over their 21 years of service. I have a roll of striping tape that was used for color matching, also the Base Coat/Clear Coat has a very high gloss. The Hood Protector was a custom made piece from my wife as a fathers day gift. It is only on for static display & photos. Here are a few rear 3/4 shots of the car. I will post new close-up pix when I receive the new Wheel Center Emblems & 1/4 Window Decals. Happy Fathers Day !!!

Do you think we only appreciate the Popsicle orange?

I can't help but think people that don't know say WTF was this guy thinking?

Me....I LOVE that orange and would be proud to own that car!!!

On those wheels, if it was possible, I would have made the flat surface white to match the car. Like the asc wheels, only the sides of the mesh would have the orange.

Anyways, they look really nice!
