My wife & I just returned from Indy at the Mustang Club of Indianapolis 28th annual show.
What a blast! We will be returning next year and I highly recommend this venue to any that could attend. This was a 3 day event featuring @ 200 high quality Ford vehicles, mainly Mustangs with some Mercury's and Antique vehicles.
Friday featured a catered bash followed by a 30 mile cruise through Downtown Indy to Goodtimin Hot Rod Shop (Very Nice shop with an excellent gift shop as well as parts).
Saturday was a concourse judged show (we took a 2nd place in Special Interest concourse to a 1993 Cobra R with 95 original miles) with a Top Notch Vendors area/Pony Corral. There was a catered banquet following the show and another cruise.
Sunday was best featuring a Lap of the infamous Indianapolis Motor Speedway where @ 120 of us staggered on track for a 30-80mph lap with Photos included followed by drawings and trophy presentation. We closed out Sunday with a tour of the Indy Hall of Fame.
The people we met here were extremely hospitable & fun, getting around was very easy and we found it very enjoyable. MCI is looking to host the Nationals here in 2008. This venue would be an excellent candidate for a ASC McLaren gathering and we would be very welcomed to join them. Attached is a few pix I thought you may enjoy!!!
