Peter what exactly are the differences?

They do look identical...just not stamped ascMcLaren around the cap area?

Wheel-Speak

Post by Sandy »

That is correct. MSW works closely with Campigniolo (spelling close, but probably 1 or 2 letters "off") ~ of Italy. My spare wheel came in a box that was never opened, and the writing on it is both English & Italian and it says Campignolio on it and they were shipped to MSW here in the states. There are no ddifferences. I know that the center caps were mde inthe USA. They did, however, arrive ORANGE, and not unpainted. The orange has a protective glaze of clearcoat on it, as do the silver rims, on the exterior only.

Sandy, the asc wheels have "ascMcLaren" cast in them. "MSW" wheels would not have that....so there should be at least one difference....even if very minor.

Sandy are you sure your wheels are cast with the "ascMcLaren" in them? You better check them! :D Maybe they gave you the MSW ones! :P

Big Zeke_De Soto this is Mark in Shawnee.

Where did you get the dash cover that shows in your album? I have one coming from Cal Covers.

I used Weavers Auto Care Center off Shawnee Mission Parkway to do a gentle hand wash and wax on the 85 Vert and it came out better than me doing it in the heat in the garage. Looks great for original.

I will pay my son to take some pictures and upload them as I don't have a clue how to do it.

Now I just need a show or a cruise.

Mark:

That dash cover was on the car when I bought it. There is a car show in Bashor, Ks on October 7 and I plan to be there. Was going to be there last year but it rained. Hope to see some pictures of your car.

Called my techie son and told him to back it out of the garage and take some shots since it is very clean right now.

Maybe this afternoon he will get them loaded?

you see the center hub that the center cap goes on. it sticks out past the "face" of the wheel about 1/2"-1". on the asc wheels this is flush with the face of the wheel AND it says MSW not ascMcLaren
