Awesome Mark! I will give you 2 near new radios (1 high tech Sony and 1 brand new Alpine model) with amps for the one in your McLaren... :lol: Just park the car out front with the top down would you? (jk)

Nice ride!

Funny about that radio with a cassette player too. I listen to NPR and Sports talk stuff so as long as it works I am ok. I look at that cassette thingy and wonder if you can or even should buy one and try it out? Naah!

My son has a 97 Park Avenue and within 48 hours he was at Circuit City replacing it with something much better but I won't do that.

I think the car for it's original paint job is really nice. It is a 5 footer as there are some small scratches and marks that won't come out. If I had the energy and the will I would do the clay bar and compound but I just decided to drive it and enjoy it as it is. I like the term "Driver."

60,876 original miles as of today.

I want a new tan top to replace the black one and I want to play with the kick panels sometime. Trunk carpet needs to be reattached. Just stuff to play with in the garage and listen to the race or the game at the same time. Sip a cold one once in a while too.

Mark

I had light overspray on my Eurocoupe and used the clay bar and it came out like a piece of glass.

Zeke;

I might do the Clay bar deal when it gets cooler. Weaver's was able to hand wax and use a buffer and got a lot of stuff off of it. They used to offer a paint detail but they said that they could not meet the customer expectations and they just decided to not offer it anymore instead of getting complaints and doing it for free. My theory was that if they like the car then they would do a little more and I think that they did.

Unfortunately, with only 34K on my car, there are numerous small paint chips and fine scratches that drive me crazy. But, as it is the original paint job and still shines like glass, I am not about to piant it. The worst part is where the paint has worn thin in a few areas due to waxing and rubbing over the past 20+ years. I might consider painting the mirrors when ever I get around to replacing the cracked windshield moulding. I bought the part a couple of years ago from Hank, but have not had the heart to start ripping off the damaged piece and try to get the new moulding paint color matched.

Some day!
