86 EURO COUPE # 19 FOR SALE

Post by 86ASC ROB »

I saw this while surfing the web. This is my first time adding a link so I'll try just the main page. Search under Merc and you'll see it and some pretty cool other cars.

This car has been up for sale on that site for quite sometime. I think it was even on ebay a while back. I believe the owner frequents this site. If it was a 5spd, I'd probably own it by now.

Look at the air dam extensions. That air dam is different. The air dam is cut shorter and the extentions(spats) are longer than a nomal RS air dam unless I am seeing things....

The air dam has been discussed at length and has stirred up much controversy.

Thanks Mike, sometimes you just can't please the masses !!! I have the feeling that the other owners of the last few Euros feel the same way too. We did show 8 times this year & heard a lot of very nice comments.

maybe that air dam is an actual ASC part. It is not an RS part. I bet if you would have ordered an RS air dam or extensions from a mercury dealer, you would NOT get that version. It would be interesting to see who actually made that air dam. It looks at first glance to be an exact duplicate of the regular capri air dam, but like I said, what factory capri has those extensions and shortened air dam sides ? none that I know of, so maybe the sign is correct - that ASC did in fact add THEIR air dam.

Sandy, Do you have the last 6 vin# of#19 Eurocoupe? Or can you give out that information? I called Northe Towne Lincoln Mercury and they said they could pull the paper work if they had the last 6#s of the vin. Trying to find out about the air dam on #19 Eurocoupe.
