people that want a show car for nothing.When a ad says a car

here is a hint when you walk into the backyard of someone that has
12 Mercury and a few Fords most pretty rare and one is for sale

That's what I (and millions of other car salesmen) were up against every day! People offer ridiculous amounts of money and then get all pissy-faced when you don't jump for joy for it! Most cases they are not being foxy; they are just plain ignorant as to somethings worth, or the cost of something. Hang in there, you'll find the right guy.

They are for the most part stupid they think I don't know what
I have.I have 4 Capris and a Mustang along with MANY Cyclones and
other rare Muscle.They see a little surface rust and its Junk.

I just bought my 85 Coupe (working on pics) I bought from FourEyedPride I knew it was a good deal and it was a fair price
so I didn't haggle.But people are just dumb and greedy.
I think 2500 with parts is very fair for my 86 they only made
47 Euros and mine has some of the stuff it wasn't supposed to have.

I feel your pain.... I am currently trying to sell a loaded 1991 Ranger XLT SuperCab 4x4. It is a clean truck and runs very well.... but every one who comes to look at nit-picks everything. People, it is a 14 yo truck with a 135k miles on it. It's not going to be perfect. Sheesh!

my 2c the best way is to weed thru the lookers/strokers/squarrles and never let them over too look at the vehicle till you firm them up if they are serious or not! and what they are expecting plus on a car that i sell i try to take care of the little tlc items so it is a pretty much a no excuse deal you either buy it of hit the road works great for me! and sandy you may have heard this once or twice "just looking"

When I bought my 85 a few months ago I couldn't believe nobody snatched it up.One guy was trying to lowball him and it didn't work
I bought it on the spot.

what i use and it works great also is when they say just looking i say "great are you looking for yourself or someone elece?" they have to answer! as you may remember sandy i sell fords same location for 14 years i love useing that line!

One job I had where my boss was a moderitly heavy drinker & liked those "liquid lunches" and he had just returned, and was "hanging" around the showroom....
Customer walks in and says to me - "I'm looking for my brother ~ he's moving here from Ohio" ....

So, my half in the bag boss, turns to the other salesman and says, LOUDLY, "George, you see this guys brother??" pointing at my customer... So customer says ... "What?" Boss says, "You said your looking for your brother - - What's he look like"?? It was really funny. Customer actually stayed and didn't seem offended.
