1985 McLaren in NY for $1500

very special car need minor restoration. this car was made few years only in quantity of around 500 car a year. true great american car.
this one is a sport convertible. the condition is fair and shoud be easy job to bring it back to the road. the engine work a bit rough, the trany is fine.
the body has some rust (which you can see in the photos.)
interior also need some work. 128000total miles, it was never the primary car.
i'm the second owner the first one was my brother in law who bought the car new from detroit.engine 5.0 V8. tires are michelin in more than OK condition.

$4,500.00 = Total (if you are lucky)

Why not just buy a good one for $5,000 an enjoy it tomorrow ?

You know how expensive parts are now-a-days... Is this YOUR car, or just an adv ? The parts are worth more than the sum. From the pics, the tonneau will not close, so I assume the pull down motor is history, too.

Very costly to bring back to really nice condition.

Henry is the Sacks fifth Avenue of McLaren pricing. People are looking for lower priced parts that still work and look decent.

Is this the same car that was for sale in Sturbridge Mass this past spring? Looks exactly like it.
