Window Sticker Tid Bits

90%of us have never had the pleasure of eye-balling the original FORD MOTOR COMPANY applied window sticker that the cobbled-up Mustang LX V-8 2-Door Sedans left Dearborn with affixed to their soon to be trashed door windows. Over the years I have compiled a listing of the UNusual items that were listed on there, which identified that she was going to Autry Ave., in Livona - ASC's conversion plant.

Besides the A/C, the Am Fm Stereo w/Cassette, the Pwr. Locks & Windows, the selected type of transmission, the Air Conditioning, Premium Audio, Speed Control and Tilt Wheel (except on 1990s, due to Air Bag) ~ there were other things done exclusively FOR ascMcLaren's convenience in conversion. Thusly, Sandy has always proclaimed that these cars, unlike OTHERS (Read: competition) companies after market Mustangs were indeed factory endorsed!!

So, while not every item below is on every window sticker, the actual part or design alteration is on every 1987-1990 ascMcLaren.

* T-Top Doors
* Special Order 86 (Apparently the code for ascMcLaren)
* Coding for Weight Adjustment
* Delete Upper Bodyside Paint Pin Stripe
* Delete Package (I still do not know EXACTLY what got deleted herein)
* GT Articulating Seats with Lumbar & Reclining Feature
* Special Body Pillars, Reinforced
* Bumper Height Adjustment
* Fleet Tinted Windshield

I believe part of the Delete Package included deleting the rear seat and its seat belts and related hardware. Another item would be the trunk lid lock and the blue Ford oval from the grille's center, in the years they had that.

sandy dont you recall the asc take out windows that went up on ebay? they had the stickers on them...

Yes. Re-Read what I wrote! Every car got a sticker, but the windows of the soon-to-be McLaren got trashed, so.....few of us ever got to see the original sticker...

ahhh well did anyone save a pic of the stickers that someone was selling? i remember that they had made there way to ebay
