86 Eurocoupe added to the garage

Post by xbgt »

Hello everyone, I am sorry for the tardiness of announcing this. I was able to aquire a Eurocoupe a few weeks ago. The former owner and I had been working on the deal for a few months and completed it a few weeks ago. Have been having a great time with the car. It seems pretty original, sure it needs some small cosmetics. But I am so excited over owning it that I see nothing but a showroom car. I drove it from the Pensacola area last week to my grandmothers for a holiday visit in Tallahassee. Did about 500 in it by the time I got home. Ran great!

Here are some pic links,
Chris

Here are my other two babies:

I am working on adding a set of gray mesh ASC wheels to the GP car. I think they will look very appropriate.

If events go as planned, I am going to sign the vert over to my dad for a few years. I get the feeling he really would like to have a vert again. He has not had a fun car in years. He and mom are getting older. I got to thinking that I ought to let him have the car, for as long as he likes, and enjoy it. In the end, it will come back to me. But, the fun he and mom would get out of it really sounds cool to me.

cheers,
chris

Hey Mike, yep, too many Capri's here. Just ask my wife! lol

I just registered the 83RS I drove to FL from Oregon in October. I am going to use it for a few weeks now, keep it going. I am trying to sell two cars, though. 82RS, very low mile car and an 86 EFI car, nice car, but no a/c. The seller said it had a/c, does not. That will not work in FL. So, it needs to go. I told Tab with the E.C. coming in that I would sell at least one or two others off.

You could add AC to the 86 although I know it would be a chore.

Occasionally you see dealer AC units out there which are probably much easier to install.

yes, I have thought of adding a/c. It is a very good example of an 86. All stock, all original, excpet wear parts. I would love to just sell it to a good home. Probably have to wait to well after the holiday spending season to even get someone to look at it, though! ha

That is a very nice herd of vehicles that you have. What is the story on the ten-holes on the vert? I really like that look; it works perfectly with the car.

Robert, it was that way when I bought it. The seller told me he hated cleaning the ASC wheels. The car is supposed to be oxford white. His wife had a 65 stang that springtime yellow, so he painted the vert yellow, for her. The centers of the 10 holes are paiting to match the car. The turbo hood scoop is just that he replaced the hood with that hood, has the turbo cut out on the inside. This was done as the original hood had some rust on the front leading edge. Pretty good car, very dependable and runs like none of the others. It is really fast, I think, for being all stock.

IBGT --- Hey, sorry i'm late. (I was back in the hospital this PM - just for a check out - been a month, today, since the surgery....)

and lookie what I missed. Beautiful beautiful EuroCoupe.

Look >>> On Euro Coupes asc painted the rear spoiler and on the Full packaged ones they ONLY painted the Smoke Charcoal Grey car's rear spoilers !! Somebody told me that they also painted the rear spoilers on the Silver Metallic cars, but I have only seen ONE - and IT was totally missing the spoiler, so.... ?????

Best of luck, may she alswys be THAT nice !
