Contacted the seller. I was told it was a 5.0 Capri with asc stripes and not a real McLaren.

While I don't like the car myself, in his defense, the seller actually states that it is a Capri, and not an ASC - "This car is NOT a asc McLaren it just has misc. parts as the ad says".

Are you sure that wasn't added? Admittedly I may not have read that far but I didn't notice the disclaimer.

It was added on Sunday. I sent them an email on Saturday and asked them to disclose the information in the add. SHE updated the add to reflect that the parts were added and was totally honest that it wasn't an ASC.

I told her that I didn't want to see someone purchase the car believing it was an ASC and be disappointed when we told them it wasnt.

First of all the owner is a he and not a she, the add was updated a few times to help others read the add correctley! And the owner never claimed it was an asc in the original add discription, all the original parts off the capri were sold to hank ,and all the asc parts on the car are off an 86' coupe which was wrecked (in the front) except the rear valence (swapped for a later year stang valence).Ever wondered if after 1987, what if asc built a coupe ? What would it have looked like?.....I DID! So I bought some parts and sacrificed my 85' T-Top capri, yea the stripes might be a bit too much but my totaled one had orange stripes! pics in my gallery before.

Well I must say that this is the only man I know that is named "Debra". Just going by the email response.

Honestly it wasn't clear in the first add, it is now, lets all move on with our lives.
