What do you mean by "better"?

Which one is better? I guess I don't understand this either.

There are center caps for mounting from the inside or outside of your wheel depending on what wheel type you have.

Verts and Coupes got different styles of center caps.

:?: What a weird response.

You need to match the correct cap for your wheels. If you have OUTSIDE mounting style wheels and buy INSIDE mounting style caps....you just wasted your money. For example, there are TWO different style Orange mesh wheels. TYP-34F is for OUTSIDE mounting caps ONLY. That is the early style wheel. Later in 86 they modified the wheel design for INSIDE mounting caps.

The only way I would classify one as "better" than another is that the "inside" mounting caps, won't fall off your car....and are harder to steal.

Ok. Now it makes some sense as to why you were asking what you were asking.

No, they can't use both styles. Take the codes off your wheels (check to make sure all 4 are the same) and if you're buying caps from Hank, he will send you the right ones based on the codes you give him.

I would actually be interested in seeing what kind of codes come off from your wheels as it seems most all 85 Coupes got the outside mounting caps (TYP-34F). It would be interesting to know when the changeover happened.
