Moving McLarens

Well, I moved around the McLarens, today. I moved the Azura Blue from the storage facility that's really causing me financial whoas. I moved her to my 2nd rented garage, nearby in town, that's alot less money and I then moved the Sterling Silver Anniversary Edition HOME - but just for the holiday weekend. She's going in a Parade on Memorial Day (Monday). No..nobodie is sitting on the tonneau. My son is riding shot-gun next to me as he is the accountant for a neighboring town's EMT Emergency Squad. He is going representing the Squad. Top will be down, CORRECTLY !
BTW, I (yesterday) ordered a "Bonnet" ~ This thing allows you to have your top down and NOT get your perforated little holes leather interior bombarded with bird poop! It attaches to the windshiled wiper arms, ties around exterior mirrors (or door handles) and the back part you drop into the trunk and close the trunk. BUT .... it may NOT reach all the way back there, past the Tonneau cover..... So, I'll put it in the crack by the tonneau cover.

I cannot park, even for 10 minutes - top down - in my driveway, dur to the fact that there are tall and thick trees on 1 side of the driveway and the birds sit in there & poop. It's nasty wiping bird poop off of perforated leather.
Has anyone here ever bought one? Known anyone who used one of these bionnets ???

I hope it will fit - but they had none for a McLaren so I ordered for a GT Convertible, BUT it does NOT have a tonneau ! ! !

No pictures from parade. Only 3 cars. My 1990 Silver Anniversary, a pretty unique BENZ - A 2005 In Black with OUR "ARESMA SILVER" roof (I watched it go down.......) and light grey interior and a 2008 White Corvette Convertible with Black leather. Oh, No...WAIT ..... There was 1 more ! A Light Cream (or pale yellow) BMW 4-Passenger convertible, like a 3-series. It had TAN leather. To 100% correctly, to utter perfection put down the top on a McLaren it takes a minimum of 8 minutes. I timed myself.

It has not yet arrived !! The company, like me, is in NEW JERSEY, so lOOOk for it everyday, and still no bonnet. 12 days....Getting concerned.

Took Silver Anniversary to my Lincoln dealer today for $ 209. Change oil, oil filter, air filter, power flush coolant system (radiator) do a battery test, ube Chassis, and REFILL coolent with Anti Freeze to zero degrees.
Add air to tires and make all 31 pounds. $200.00

Next to do the Azura Blue one...same stuff. Then the Coupe.

Some day I hope to have the elite privelage to own such pristene cars even if its just to look at through a plastic bubble cover. Maintenance is just the price of membership. I am just glad you have the energy to get out and do all the work on the cars. You were getting me very worried with your health lately. Glad things are picking up.

Healthwise, I have (almost) set hospital records. My body inners are very receptive (it seems) to the chemo. Chemo is wicked, it wrecks your life in order to cure you. It's a looong haul. One can never make any plans, for you do not know how you will be tomorrow. I have endurred 455 hours of Chemo infusions, had a 3+ hour surgery, l;ost 65 pounds, and vomited more times than a bird flys. But I have kept a positive mental attitude (very important) and have cornered my anger. I have a wonderfull wife, and a caring son and mental tranquility in my cars. I have 142 more hours of Chemo, a cat scan & a pet scan comming in July and I have made an 89% recovery as of today. 11% to go.

Next week I have to do the Azura Blue Convertible, for all of the above I did yesrterday. Then...the 86 Coupe.....then my Caddy 60 Spcl. Karen's Jeep Cherokee LTD was done as was my Town Car. Sadly, I have neglected the ascMcLarens, so i am doing them 1st.

This evening we are invited to my Lincoln Dealer for a party Royale!
They brought in 4 White Satin Wedding Tents and are having a catered affair with a chef and carving stations and serving roast beef and southern fried chicken and drinks and ice cream and and hopefully R/C Cola ((never))

But....
and the reason is they are presenting the new Lincoln and the new look of Lincoln ! The MKS Sedan....
But, I called my Lincoln Man in Detroit.....Happy news......the Town Car's life has been extended !!!!!
There WILL be a 2009 !!!!!!!!!

AND preliminary word is that there will be a COLLECTOR'S EDITiON !!
I understand that they will be building just 100 a month, from October 08 thru April 09. 700 to 1000 wi ll be built. No further info.

If it's nice, an d not decontented, I will buy 1.
I already have my 2003 sold to a very anxous buyer, for $20,000.
She has 14,000 miles.

Yes! I was never very religious, seldom prayed.
That has changed, a bit. In the hospital, a Rabbi came in
to see me. He was very very calming and said a prayer for me.
I likeed him, ALOT. The very next day. a Priest came into
my room looking for someone other than I. Fast to duck out, I called him back ! I asked him to say a prayer for me. He did. I like the full coverage effect. It make ya feel better 'bout yourself. Really.

I feel so much better, but like all the others, 'ya tire out FAST

So, I do what I can, but the cars are #1 on the list. I am getting too old to have all these "needy children" who can't take care of themselves!
