light covers on 89 asc

Post by knsstang »

How do i remove the light covers the are on the 89 tail lights? I want to take them off and try to polish the cover because the pass cover is faded. I see the screws on top, is that it?

All the screws on the top should do it from what I remember. Slide them off carefully as they surround the tail lights completely. There may also be some weather stripping on the outer corners so be careful not to lose them. These have a great tendency to fog up and fade but at least they are made pretty well unlike any aftermarket covers I've seen. What do you plan on using for this task?

a guy at work told me about a mothers product that he used. I will be on vacation next week so I will try to remove and polish them then.
