Alarm Key FOB ?

I have a two button keychain fob thing that came with my 88, can anyone tell me the function of the two buttons? I'm assuming it's for the alarm...
I put a couple of bateries in it and it makes two different kinds of flashes when you push the buttons - ?

I believe it was either '89 or '90 that Ford offered keyless entry alarm systems so this must be an aftermarket unit. Does it say anything on it that can be researched on the internet? I know you posted this a few weeks ago just trying to help. If it was resolved, how did you make out?

I don't think that '87 & '88s came with the option of keyless entry. Let me know if I'm wrong. Mine doesn't have it. WISH it did though, I can't believe I have to actually use the key to unlock the door!!!! (I haven't been able to pull the trigger and have an alarm/keyless entry installed)....

Ford made kits to install keyless entry ansd alarms. I installed one on my 85 (2000 year kit I think). I also installed a Ford kit on my 95 Contour and it came with instructions for Mustang. It seems the Mustang only went back to 86 for the kit but anyone who has worked on the wiring knows it's the same prior.

The key fob did not say Ford on it but looked similar.
