Don't be sad. The reason is, when I wrote that, I had never heard of, nor seen a G.P.IV. I wrote an addition to be included and sent it off to C.A. - but it was too late, I had missed the deadline. They could DELETE, but not add. Remember, they made few and most were in & around Michigan. I am in New Jersey. To date, I have seen pics, but never a real car. I would be surprised if any actually came here.
The dealer I bought my 1986 at, Wayne L-M in Wayne, New Jersey was the biggest dealer for ascMcLarens, in N.J. When I arrived there, in 1986, they had on the ground a dozen "verts, even the 6-Cyl Spring Special Edition, and but no G.P. IV. Had it been available out here, I am sure they woulda had it.
I can recall at least 12 COUPES. I recall a few Euro-Coupes and solid top cars, T-Tops & Pop Up Sun Roof cars. All colors, too. Loads of Verts, too, most colors and even 2 6 Cyl. Spring Specials.

In 1985, I was told they got 13 ascMcLarens and about double that in 1986.
