Badly faded grille
Non Correct top color
Non Correct Seat Covers
Tonneau that will not properly latch
Convertible Top Big Screw will not release FROM tonneau

Me thinks it's 118,000 miles. I seriously doubt this car was only driven 818 miles a year. 22 years divided into 18,000 = 818

All may be true.....but in the grand scheme of things, "easy" things to fix on a 22 year old car. Remember, 2008-1986=22!

As far as the "fading" of the trim is concerned......(2) points:

1) I owned an '86 GT mustang over 10 years ago - remember with the matte black hood stripe and beltline trim? I bought it with 32k on the odo and sold it with 42k. It was garage kept all it's life, and that damn matte black trim would constantly oxidize. Cars need to be rubbed out every now and then (maybe after 22 years this one is due!)

2) I have a 2005 SRT4 (BTW - I've learned it has a bunch of body bits on it from ASC) and some of the black plastic trim on that has some oxidation discoloration that's due for some polishing out.

jds3660, a great thing to use on black plastic trim pieces is the Pledge Furniture polish (regular variety - brown can). It restores the "new" look almost instantly, and protects. Should be sprayed on & rubbed in using a paper towel. Either Viva or Bounty, as they have the highest level of cotton softness. Try it - you will be amazed!

The guy who did the vinyl top on my 67 Cougar told me to use nothing but Lemon Scented Pledge on it

It kept it in great shape. Works great on the interior too.

Above all never use Armor All.

I suggest using the brown can, not the lemon scented.a after trying them both, years ago.

MY 16-YEAR OLD CADILLAC'S WHITE LEATHER INTERIOR, MAINTAINED WITH PLEDGE. NO DIRT, NO CREASE LINES....AS NEW. PLEDGE PUTS A BUFFER "WALL" BETWEEN LEATHER/VINYL AND DIRT !

DO NOT use Pledge on your leather seats UNLESS they are 100% spotlessly clean - HOSPITAL CLEAN, when they are, ..... it's all I use !
Buff off with Viva Paper Towels ! Notice, no pre-crack lines.

Ingrediants in Pledge:

Lemon Oil; Vit C Vit E Silicone, Lanalin, Aloe Vera, bees wax, etc, all great stuff, natural. Feeds the leather, keeps soft and pliable, wonderful to the touch, NOT greasy at all !

Ironically, these two other than the color (1 white / 1 paris blue) are optioned identically even the mileage is close and if the Carfax info is correct may both be from Delray L/M.

As far as the condition of this particular car, IMO this one's in way better shape than you would think. Keep in mind the Carfax shows it being down here (S. FLA.) 10+ years. The materials used on these cars especially can not stand up to the constant heat and humidity that is present yr round if the car is not garaged.

Yes, that's the back window

you can also see what the climate does to the leather on the steering wheel (there's a good reason there's a wheel cover on there) and the wood appliques don't love all the moisture. That's why the wood is missing on any ASCs that have spent any significant time ungaraged in Fl. The wood warps and / or (usually both) the adhesive breaks down so they just fall off of the dash. This is even possible on garage queens. This one I just picked up has only 75k miles and two owners before me and................. it was covered the whole time:!:

The scary part is that is completely NORMAL for this area but it does make it easy to tell whether a Mclaren has been garaged or not. The last 3 that were on ebay from this area were very much like this black one. There's still bunches of them running around down here and when it's been garaged --YOU'LL KNOW IT
This blue one obviously been garaged & for long periods of time.

have you tried a Mr Clean Magic Eraser on the leather seats?

My wife did on our suburban and I could not believe the difference.

They came out so clean then I followed up with conditioner.
