I AM BACK and although I still have a somewhat painful stomach, I seem to be much better! I actually ate a little dinner! (1 Scrambled Egg & 1/2 of an English Muffin and 3 Oz. Orange juice. I did in fact go to my surgeon this AM and he removed the cathitor from me ... THEN he told me that IF I did not pee within 6 hours, I needed to return to the hospital to have re-installed.
SOoo, I get home, (Karen's a good driver in her Jeep) and I am walking around the house on my cane, cranky & in pain, going "Pray for Pee" ~
"Pray for Pee" over & over, & Karen's laughing at this. I am not.

at 3:11 PM, TODAY >>> PEE CAME !! Thank you God !

9:00 tomorrow I have to go to my urologist to "inspect" the "Jewels"
Then I am in the clear and just have to ride out the pain of healing.

I was "cut" in 2 places, but each is small (1 inch). My surgeon said that it was BIG and had looped around muscle and in a couple places he had to cut muscle AND THAT IS WHAT REALLY HURTS

I am hungry but have to eat light and only enough to not starve. Parts of my stomach were comprimised by the hernia "taking over" ~

The effects of being put out linger for days, sometime a couple weeks.
I also get confused easily, and/or forget what I was in the middle of saying. They assure this will pass shortly after I receive the bill.
I am gonna look around the site here now, to see what I missed & then go to bed. I am getting better, and from where I began, that is great!

Oh yeah, it is amazing how badly muscle can ache! I remember years ago I was bitten a number of times by a girlfriend's dog. She (the dog) bit me on each arm, and WOW my arms ached for weeks! I would imagine what cutting muscle would do, if a few silly puncture wounds were so sore for so long!

Not a good day. Had to cancel appt. with urologist for 9AM today. To sick to go. Very weak from pain. At least I am peeing. Allready lost 9 pounds.

Oh ya, they really are the pits !!!

Im am dIzZy 2-nite. Wobblly w/out my cane close at hand.
I am goona go to bed AND try sleeping in the bedroom on the bed, and the den on the sofa, that reclines and is power! Like an 8-way Power Seat! I like it there, Strangely, it's in the front of the house and the bedrooms are in the back, yet somehow it just seem alot quieter in the front on the sofa. I cannot figure that out. Going there now, too. Cannot stop yawning

I am alot better today - but, yesterday, I was forced to cancel my appointment with my Urolgist, as it was for 9AM and I could not move at 8AM to get going. Made new appt for Friday afternoon. I am feeling better and the side rib-cage) is now only hurtfull upon sitting or laying down and/or arising from those positions. Boy, do i miss my cars, and driving. I am the worlds worst passenger. Karen threatens to blindfold me in her Jeep.

I have to miss my #1 fav car show, that takes place only once a year. It's on May 17th, a couple towns away from us. (8 miles) This will be it's 17th year running, and I have been there ALL 17 years. If anyone is in Northern N.J. it's in Millburn. About 150-200 cars 95% concours

Thank you all for your kind words and smiles across the miles. Now, it's just time resting and allowing nature to take its course. I am a fighter. Remember, I was 60 days from certain death in October of 2007. Last month (from Stage 4 Colo-Rectal Cancer) I was declaired 100% CLEAN w/out a trace of any Cancer Cells.
Immediately thereafter the hernia was discovered. This too I shall overcome. If I wasn't just so damn weak !
My next car show is the first Wednesday of June. I plan on being there, that is my goal !
