new top

I finally broke down and ordered a new top. And against my better judgment (and general cheapness), I ordered one from Hank instead of going with a less pricey replacement. I finally buckled to Sandy's heckling.

It is my hope to get the car looking nice enough to take to a couple of cruises later in the summer. Next up after the top: the seats.

I did the same a couple of years ago. I cannot say I was very pleased with the end result fitment. Whlie the installedr said he had done them before, I'm not sure it was all the installers fault. The sides are no where near touching the tonneau cover. I cannot see how they could adjust anything to fit better. The new weather stripping across the back fell out as well. I'm sure it can be glued in but that does not seem to be the correct way to do it. It was at least 6 months from the time I order the top from Hank so I reaally could not complain to him.

That weatherstripping across the rear most part of the top is glued in with adhesive. It also BTW holds the top cloth down in back.

Good luck with it!
