asc McLaren Capri ranks #7. Not sure where they dug up the text from, but it's nice to get some recognition

That is a great list. I like those cars, with the exceptions of the Paseo, the Lotus and the Renault.

Since I already have an ascMcLaren, if I could only have one of the others on the list, I would take the Dakota pickup. I lusted after those big time when they were knew, but as a poverty-stricken college student, there was no way to buy one. These days, on the very rare occasion when one pops up, it is always trashed.

I LOVE ANVANTI (S) NEVER HAD ENOUGH SPENDABLE $$$ TO ORDER A NEW ONE.

I replied to the guy that wrote all the wrong stuff pertaining to the McLaren, but it looks like I am not recognized on there, and it looks like it did not print. Oh Well.

Do you mean the BC guy?

Yeah, he's a typical AOL person. Thinks he knows about 1/100 of what he really does.

Nobody in their right mind has an AOL account anymore. You pretty much are laughed at if you do. There's a reason why they are called "AOLosers".

lol, yep.

Unless you like getting raped......AOL is terrible for customer service. I tried them once back in the nineties and had a hell of a time getting them to close my account AND to stop charging my credit card.....

I fully agree that ASCs don't get much recognition, but not sure if that kind of list is the kind to have.

Many could look at that list in kind of a negative way, considering some of the cars on there.

I've never been able to decide if I like the Avanti, or if I think its ugly... The convertible is quite nice looking for sure. A lot seems to depend on stance, if they sit too high, or at the wrong angle, they just look funny.

I was always cool to the coupes, but the convertible is fantasrtic!
Look, the designed was penned in the early 60s ... I looks modern today!
There are a few in Jersey. Every once in a while, when 'ya least expect it - - BANG out of a corner she'll turn. The last Avanti II was the 2007. No more. ( 7 were made for 2007. ) The company making them is gone.

we had a Reatta convertible as a shop car at school. that poor thing had been studentized in every witch way. "a total of 2,437 droptops sold. These days, the Reatta convertible is rarer than hen's teeth" lol poor car is doomed to be torn apart and put back together for the rest of its life.

We owned a very nice '89 Reatta Convertible for a few days. Purchased the car in Scottsdale, AZ but only made it to Little Rock, AR when I was rear ended by a semi!

They left off the Dodge/Plymouth convertibles built on the Ramcharger chassis. Very few built. I have a friend that has a Red Plymouth version. 440 engine, 4 wheel drive. Low miles. Looks good. Wonder what the value is?
