I made calls, and was redirected to another person, and then suggested that I call another person, who knew the person I wanted, but he moved, so that other person knew where he moved to and had his number and I called him! Who, you ask? The man in the last sentence of the URL above.
SOOoooo I asked him what ever became of those 25th Anniversary plaques, 'ya know, the two you kept out...? He said that he still had them, and they are wrapped in the origianal plastic, as he had no ascMcLaren to put 'em on.....SOooo, I asked him if he'd sell them to me.
He said, "NO" ~ but I've seen pics of your car, and I know you have the 1 of 2 that were made. Yes, I said, and she is 100% new & flawless, and and and I was wondering about the plaques, and (He interups) I know, Sandy, you'd like a set....(Swollows hard at this end) ahhh, 'sheepish now, yes, would you consider selling the only remaining two that you got?
He replies, NO! I would not consider selling them to you, But, I will give them to you, along with the trim plate to properly put them on your Silver car. (Thud) !! Then, he next day Fed-Exs them to me.
I put them on at noon today. I will take photos. They are really nice.
Since none were made, I have no chance of ever getting a "Aresma Silver" Cambria Cloth top......
2 silver plaques 3" x 1" made of plastic, and it's like I won $5,000.xx
