In my opinion, this car is not as "cherry" as it looks on the printed page.
Look carefully, enlarge pics.

This is about Sean's third time listing and first time NO reserve. He is very busy at work and working lots of hours. At least that was what I heard.

Yes, this is my car. The time has come for me part with it even though I hate hate hate to let it go. I am the second owner and I have owned it since June of 97.

No where did I state in the description that is was "cherry" and honestly the pictures DO NOT do this car justice. This car needs to be seen in person to truely appreciate the excellent condition that it is in. It has 33,000 original miles and has always been stored inside a heated garage. It has NEVER been drivin in the rain for the 12 years I have owned it

Thanks......the convertable is in great shape and I was very reluctant to sell it but I am running out of garage space. The convertable gets driven the least due to fear of wear and tear on the top etc. The white Capri is an 84 RS from California that I purchased from the original owner which has 87,000 original miles. I was always a big fan of the 84,85,86's and my friend in highschool had this exact car with weld draglites and it just looked awesome. So when I saw this one I had to have it ! Hopefully by next summer it will be on the road. The McLaren coupe is an 85 5spd with 55,000 original miles. I have owned this car for 10 years and awaits a refreashening. It needs a new headliner, new carpet, a repaint.

The car looks really nice to me. Interior looks super clean and the exterior too.

Is there anything wrong with the front driver side pinstripe on the nose? The picture is fuzzy and the pin stripe looks odd.

One problem I see is that the engine bay doesn't really reflect its mileage. It needs some work. I'd pull the air cleaner, use some satin black on it, clean up a few things and really make her shine.

I know it's not original but I always liked the ascMcLaren striping on the side car too.

I too really like the Coupe's striping on the convertible. It just seems to belong there. But I think (?) this example's is black. Yes/No ?
It needs navy blue, but, as we know, it did not come in navy blue. So, the top is navy & the interior in blue and the body is white.....and the stripe is.....Black? But, I do realize that the colors available were Orange, Black, and silver. So, Black was the only way to go. I think it's worth the price.

Can ya imagine a black example Capri 'Vert, with the silver mesh wheels and a black top and grey interior and this here stripe on it, in silver !!

That is a neat looking garage and very "Good Housekeeping" in appearance. Like to see thr navy coupe, when ready to be presented.
(I got a thing, for da coupes!)

Sandy,
Thanks...... I try to keep the garage but it seems like a never ending task ! I will get some pics of the blue coupe posted, work has been keeping me very busy and I dont spend much time in the garage anymore. The convertable strip kit is a dark navy blue metallic, I will try to get some better pics in the light.

! WHOA !!

How did you obtain or make them in navy ? That is too much. Now I really really like this car. I think that is neat.

The strip kit was on the car when I bought it. This was part of the Detroit Auto Show treatment that ASC McLaren performed along with the rear spolier, and the additional ASC McLaren emblems on the door panels and in the rear cargo area.
