Capri vert door arm rest removal

Post by KHummel66 »

How do the ASC custom arm rests that were installed on some of the Capri verts come off? I see one screw up near the door latch pull, but none others. Is it actually attached to the door panel from behind or are there more screws hidden somewhere? Thanks

I would try to remove the light and look if there is any screws. I wish I had the deluxe doors and recaro seat too. My car is standard interior.

You have to take the door panel off to remove the arm rest. There are 10-12 screws that hold the armrest on from the back side of the door panel. The panel comes off like a normal door panel with the addition of the screw that you noted. In the Image below, you can see the screw holes.

The fun part is feeding the rope door pull back through it's tiny hole when putting it all back together.
