ford installed the heavy duty suspention parts as part of the ascmclaren build.

all ascmclarens capris started life as a GS

ASC also had installed T-Bird tie-rods

The quad shocks have nothing to do with the trim level of the car. If the car received a 5.0L power plant, it got the quad shocks.

Thanks for everybodys help with my Shock question. I;m also glad to see that we have another vert in the club! Save it! These cars are very easy to work on and will go up $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in the next 10 years!

When you are purchasing 888 nearly identical cars, and you want special attention and want and don't want certain things, Ford will comply to nearly any wish.
They were GS with V-8s and RS seats for coupes, (not 'Verts) (Talking Capri, here), with the normal underpinnings given to a 302 V-8 car. As recieved at ascMcLaren, they were NOT roadworthy, yet.

Things changed a bit when it was the Mustangs. Adjustments had to be made.
