The weathered cleared, so I pull my '86 ASC McLaren out for a picture. Its Mint with 16,000 miles on it and I'm the first owner. Car had a couple minor little things that I have all ready fixed! Runs perfect!

I am surprised with a low # (82) of the 245 1986s, that you have a frontal antenna. Most 86s had a rear driver side antenna.
(Neither was power operated.)

Nice car, I assume that is the blue interior, yes? Navy blue roof ??

Sandy, my car is 62 and also have a front antenna.

Have you ever seen a 1986 with a rear antenna? I have really only seen (up close & personal) 2 1986 'Verts and they both had rear antenna. When I bought my car, and the dealer had so many 'Verts, I was not interested in where the antenna was, so I paid no attention to that.
I think someone had once said on here that FoMoCo stopped supplying front fenders with NO hole in them, for the antenna, so asc switched to front (stock) antennas.

1986 #1 has a rear antenna. You'll have to check my album for a pic as can't figure out how to imbed one in my post like trvlnman.

I had heard that FoMoCo was "kicking" over supplying asc McLaren with non -hole front fenders for antennas. I had heard it was really a big deal to FoMoCo, and they objected to supplying such, so, ascMcLaren relinquished that "demand" and switched during 1986 to using the "normal" front antenna. I HEARD THIS, but, until now I don't recall ever actually seeing one.

Anybody else here have a 1986 'Very with a front mounted antenna?

2 with front antennas & like 8 or 9 with rear. I dunno why, for positive.

Thanks for showing mine! It has a rear antenna. So does every one I've ever seen.

Almost swung by Henry Huisman's today. The wife had Federal Jury duty this past week, in Tampa, and was selected for a jury in a drug trial. She was an alternate and didn't get to render a verdict, but, I got to talk to the arresting DEA agent and he called me tonight to tell me the dirtbag Mexican was convicted on all counts!! His only sentence is LIFE!!! The wife is ecstatic. That's how she would have voted! Had to go right by Gunn Highway and Henry's place. But sorry, I didn't. Could have checked on all his!!

PS, we beat Obama out of Tampa by minutes!! We could hear the helicopters right behind us. Another 10 minutes and we may have been stuck in traffic!

Coral Red is down there with Hank. I really wanted it, but the original owners beat on it
too much for ME. He is supposidly bringing Coral bak to "life" ~
but who knows. I have had 2 pink cars in my life, so it's no biggie that I missed Coral Red.
