Marchal Lights

Post by Bub »

Hi everyone. Noob here. I was cleaning the garage and found these NOS Marchal asc McLaren lights and was wondering what they are worth? You can see them here.

The covers are probably worth $150. Super rare.

The lights are probably worth whatever Marchal lights are worth. $100-$200?

What ascMcLaren were these used on? I thought all Capris with the Sport Decor Package had Hellas (and that the Marchals wouldn't even fit in the openings in the air dam). I thought those without the Decor Package didn't get fog lights, and that the Mustangs kept their FoMoCo air dam with the round fogs.

Cars with the 1983 Sports Package. The Sports Package was sold to dealers to add to Mercury Capris in 1983+

The ascMcLaren production cars never used them.

Good question. I have no idea what they went on and am not really sure how they ended up in my garage. I'll probably sell them.

The air dam on eBay and the air dam in that pic do not look the same though. :?:

Oh, yea; I forgot about those asc air dams that didn't have the fog light openings. That's pretty cool that the Marchal covers for them were done with "ascMcLaren" on them. Is that molded in the plastic or a decal/paint applied to a standard cover?

Yea, the one in the advertisement looks like it is added on to the bottom of the GS bumper cover, where as the one on ebay looks like it would cover up the entire lower portion of the bumper cover just like the ones with fog light openings do.

Noob

Very Cool find.

Do you have a ASC or did you? was wondering what the story is behind them. S.E. MI sounds like my side of town.
