Capri Convertible Door Courtesy Lights

Post by mustang marty »

I broke one of the courtesy lights that are mounted in my 'verts door panel. Does anyone know from what car they originally came from? The housing has a Ford part number:

E4LB-13K705-AA

Thanks...

That's not a part number.

That's an engineering number.

No number close to that for Fords or Mercs that I could find.

The main part of that number does indicate it is for a courtesy light.

I'm thinking it's maybe a Lincoln part?

Someone here should know exactly what FLM car it is from?

part number

E4 equates to 1984 even on engineering numbers. That is when the part was developed. It could not be on a 1983 car.

Thanks... That gives me a place to start. Last time that I was at the pull-a-part there are a half dozen or so mid-80's Lincolns.

It depends. Generally yes, but it could it was a revision for an earlier part. An E3 or earlier part might be the same except a design flaw had Ford revise it in 84.

Marty, call Green Sales, ask for the part number for a 1984 Town Car courtesy door light.

THEN ask them what years that part number covers. They might even have it in stock...

Door light

I looked thru the Ford parts book and could not find anything that looked similar. All of the Lincoln stuff looks top be mostly square and flat. The lens would be a 13734 and the light socket 13632, both together are 13776 (base part numbers)
