I would if it wasn't so far away...

That reminds me, If I read right, all of the 2011 MCA national shows will be on the east coast or far east mid west. :protest:

Well, I'd like to go, but probably won't if no one else on here is going.

Plum? Rob?

and......I'll probably be going with the top up since I can't seem to get anywhere in the fix. :x

The town I live in, in N.J. has a "Cruis Nite" every Wednesday from the last Wednesday in May to the first Wednesday in Sept.

About 6 were rained out, so far, and 4 I was not feeling good enough to go, from Chemo infusions. 3 I went to.

1st one I took the Cadilalc. I got many admirers and lots of thumbs up .
The 2nd one I took the Silver Anniversary '90 McLaren. Only 4 people looked at it, no comments.

The most recent, 2 weeks ago, I took Azura-Blew" and had a great spot !!
4 people came over to look. After looking for 4 seconds, they walked on, no comments.

Not worth it. Leave cars home, go look at other's cars, leave when tired.

For some reason mine gets a lot of attention, but, the brand new Mustangs get more and also get most of the trophies!!

I either win big or get no votes. Don't matter, the show susually include a few drinks and/or a big discount on food. I can't eat a trophy!! But I can drink out of it, if it's a cup. Most aren't!!!!

I had parked next to me, a 1956 Ford Crown Vic, that was a total mess!
Ready for the junk yard !! I am not kidding. That car drew 100-times more attention, than Azura Blew. I was annoyed.

Mustang Show in Dearborn

Post by capri50asc »

I did show up at the show in Dearborn today and drove my 86'vert to it.
Its was a perfect show with a strong turn out. But I had my car parked near the vendor swap tables. When I drove in and parked my vert it drew a large crowd with lot of questions. But a man in his late 60's told me he was H,Storch and his name is on my Incoming Inspection Report from ASC. His job with ASC was to inspect every 84-86 Capri and the Mustangs He his information and stories that back this up! He new EVERYTHING ABOUT OUR CARS!

1):The Windshield on the 'verts was bent with a special machine that bent it with the glass IN the Frame of the windshield. Just a handful cracked!

2): He also told me the side glass used was from the '84 Mustang 'verts
( This I still have questions)

3):Recaro seats had major problems all the time. Heaters, Speakers Air pumps. The factory rep was at ASC many times.

4)Put Anti-seize on the Locking lug on all four wheels, They will rust right on to the wheel.

5)When you lower your tops on your 'verts. Place a SOFT towel between the folding class section. This will protect the plastic glass from rubbing on each other. Great Tip!

H, Storch lives in Walled Lake Michigan with his son who does own a '85 'vert

I will be on Woodward on August 16th ---20th. With the ASC 'vert'86 Capri RS and the 73 Cougar.

Take Care Chris! :D
