No, it wasn't, I just don't remember if it was an option on all trim levels or only available on certain ones.

My 83 Crimson Cat did not have a rear heated glass, someone put a Mustang hatch on it, so the search is on for a non-heated glass.

If I remember correctly, I think I've got one on a damaged frame, but I need to check for sure when I get home this evening. I'll let you know.

Yes, I have one. Glass is good, just needs a 15 year deep layer of dust cleaned off of it. It's on a hatch that caught the brunt of a light rear-end hit. It even has holes for an asc rear spoiler. Spoiler not included.

That might work. Never tried it. The wires aren't embedded in the glass, so it could be feasible. I wonder if there are any differences in the glass form itself between heated and non heated??
