Replaing seat covers

I would like to replace the pleather seats in my 86 5.0 sc. Does anyone have sugestions ? All the late model resto. supplies don't seem to be the same . I think i have a pic. in my album. In a perfect world i would find a set af Recaro's and have them recovered. But imagine that cost.

purchase seats 300+-
have them recovered 700+-
1000. on seats ?

I'm looking into repainting the car because a tree branch fell and hit the fender and hood. It's turning into "you might as well" .
2000. for paint ?

Did you call Hank in Florida? He has all the upholstery for all the asc cars.

If it's not raw material, and the upholstery is actually pre-made, you can do the recovering yourself.

Yes , they look good in the photo. Those are the pics. i was shown when i purchased the car. That being said when you are up close things are a little more clear. Dont get me wrong , they are fine and in better condition than most . If I'm to keep the car i want to replace some items back to original or factory corect in todays materials.

Do you have the headlight covers that were also a part of the decor package? Some just sold on Ebay.

Do you have the Radar detector? 140 MPH Speedo?

HI, When i was having my seats redone.Hank didn't have covers for me 86'vert, So they were done by a shop not far from me. What is unique to the 'verts is the center section. But this can be redone with no problem. Since you are not that far from where I live, I'll pass on his name and number: CRAIGS- Auto-Marine Upholsterers , Telford, Pa 215-257-5477 - He did a super job on my seats.

FYI:
Seat Covers = Walmart $19.99 covers.
Upholstery = replacement seat covering material.

You can also rework your seats with some stuff from Leatherique. Check out one of the guys on FEP who did his Lincoln. They came out really well.

I had mine redone in vinyl but to look exactly the same with the embroidering and the perforation and I installed them myself. I think they look real good. Have a look in my album.
