WHO was displaying that "ascMcLaren" 2011 version - the bright blue one ? ?

Was it called ascMcLaren ?

Why only one photo ?

What were you able to find out about it ? :shrug

I saw Hank next to the car. I didn't stick around but I'm pretty sure it was his.

It was Hanks car. he tried to sell me on getting my 2010 vert converted. he said it would only cost 15 grand! i passed.
i dont think it was called an asc mclaren.
think it was called design concepts by peter muscat.
i only took 2 photos (was too busy trying to get a look at everything at the event & hank didnt seem to want to talk.)

Those hinges are actually really nice. They will outlive the car. However, they do kind of stick out a bit.

Honestly, it looks like a regular GT vert IMHO........ The new 2011 Mustang is surely a sweet ride. Love it. Plus great special editions....

As far as this being "the new McLaren" based on the vert. storage design, eh, not so much. Worth the extra $15K? eh.

Go back and compare the looks of the '87-'90 GTs to the same year McLarens. Very contrasting......

1. lower ride height.
2. raked back windshield.
3. very distinguishable & exclusive wheels.
4. exclusive ground effects.
5. exclusive tail light design.
6. exclusive paint colors.
7. exclusive interiors.

Can't say any of the above about that 2011........

I agee with the above comment. The roof ShAkEs and shimmies as it goes up & down. Not feeling confident about that. I would guess there is zero trunk room, with top down, and enough for a 6-pac with top up.
It's too much $$$ - but, to be exclucive IS usually costly.
Seems like another one has been made in bright gold metallic.

It was a excellent effort, but it's not prime-time, just yet.
Back in the oven for a bit.

But....my BIGGEST fear is........

WHAT IF IT JAMS - OR QUITS WORKING ?????

Enclosed truck from New Jersey to Florade and back to N.J. :x :shrug

I was at the show on Friday, and saw that car idling, but with top up!

The top seem to take up all the space from the rear seat to bumper.

Here are some Pic I grabbed of some Mclarens from Friday.
