Screws for coupe tail light covers
Can someone tell me what the screws should look like that hold the tail light covers for my coupe? My wife got me a set for Christmas. Thanks again for the help.

Re: Screws for coupe tail light covers
Are the tail light covers pre-drilled? The screws in my covers are @ 1-1/8" Long with a 3/8" Diameter & Countersunk Phillips Head - Black Anodized with a Coarse Thread {They almost look like Wood Screws}.86ASCCoupe20 wrote:Can someone tell me what the screws should look like that hold the tail light covers for my coupe? Side Note - I found screw covers at Sears {In their small parts bins} that are a black plastic with a round head that press into the Phillips Head, they are like a dime a piece and provides a very clean look {How ASC SHOULD have done them}. I also used those on the head light covers as well.
Another tip if you have the Lexan Head Light covers. Run a strip of 3/8" to 1/2" high quality electrical tape around the perimeter of the head light cover on both the inside & outside edge, this gives a great finishing look and provides a better seal between the cover and the head light bezels.
Hope the info helps....Jim

Re: Screws for coupe tail light covers
It does help. Thank you. The covers are predrilled and my bumper has the holes in there still. The screw covers are a great idea, Jim. Thank you for that one. I would love to see what the tape looks like along the edge.mustangjim wrote:Are the tail light covers pre-drilled? For the rears, there is weatherstripping that you need and the screws. If you got them from Hank in FL, just ask for the mounting hardware.

When I got mine from Hank the holes didn't line up properly - so this is what I had to do...I did NOT use the rubber trim...
