Being a Special Service Mustanger since '90, all Interior colors were available to Law Enforcement. As far as Red Interiors, Texas DPS didn't specify colors for interior. They took what they got, Blue,Red,Tan Grey, Black. I have had 3 Tx DPS cars each with a different color interior. They bought over 1000 Mustangs since '83.

I don't database the aero SSPs but I do database the four eye SSPs, and only ones that I have a VIN for. I have four of them so far that have a red interior (two 84 Texas DPS and two 86 Texas DPS). SSPs came with just about any available color (Black, Blue, Brown, Red, Tan, Vanilla). I know I have seen a couple of aero North Carolina State Highway Patrol SSPs that had red interior.
I am not familiar with (i.e. where it is denoted) the D32 code for the ascMcLarens but all SSPs had a six-digit DSO (on build sheets, door tags, and '88+ buck tags). They were not always stripped down (quite a few even had AM or AM/FM radios) and they did not have deleted rear seat or carpet. Although most of the marked SSP seem to have been painted white or black (or both), some were painted other available production colors or "special colors"...
At least one 1984 Oregon State Patrol was painted Dark Academy Blue Metallic (5C)
1985 Kentucky State Patrol were painted Medium Charcoal Metallic (1B)
At least one 1986 Oregon State Patrol was painted Sand Beige (8L)
1986 Royal Canadian Mounted Police were painted Dark Shadow Blue Metallic (7B)
Florida Highway Patrol were painted Cream (special color WT-1077) and Black
Texas DPS were painted White (special color WT-0046) and Black

Sadly but with zero regret cause they weren't mine, I've deleted the assembly line pictures. I got a nice call from Jim Dingell, owner of PPI and said photos, today and he kindly asked that I not display them any longer. I'm fine with this. With SOPA and PIPA in the news lately and the issue of copyright being what it is lately I'm also considering doing something with all the other pics I've been hosting as well. I enjoyed 'collecting' as many pics as I could over the years of McLarens and thought it would be a great database and it is but..... They're not mine. I get tons of hits for the M81 pics from Four Eyed Pride and tons from here as well, it's been cool being the go to guy for pics of this nature but that's going to have to change I guess. So, if you see broken links, you'll know why
