Capri Seatbelt Sleeves - Sand Beige

Hi all -I am sure this has been up here before but I couldn't find it. My seatbelt sleeves next to the console have lost their color. I tried painting them with the interior paint but it just flakes off over time and movement. I think I used the laquer but not sure.

So my questions:
1) Does anybody know where to get these in sand beige or tan?
2) Would using dye be better?
3) I have seen some flex additives out there. Does this work?
4) Anybody had any luck with this?

My last resort will be to put black ones in. OK but I would like to keep it original.

I have the same problem. I bought some repo gray ones and painted them with tan Lacquer. They flacked in no time. Shortly after that I found some near nos ones for a small fortune. They worked great for about 5-6 years. Now they breaking up with little use. I bought another set of gray repros and used Sem interior paint and let them sit for week. They started to peel too. Next time I plan to use their adhesion promoter and see how that goes.

Hi. Been thinking about the same thing myself. Have some material left over, from when I had my seats redone. Was thinking of having a pair of sleeves made ,to slip over the seatbelt sleeves. Should be more durable and easier on the eye. Just some thing to kick around.
