Head light switch
Head light switch
Just an FYI. I went to replace the headlight switch on my 85 vert. And found it used the fog light version of the switch. There was an extra connector plugged into the back of the switch. Since the car had no fog lights, I assumed it would use the standard switch, wrong. While I did use the non-fog light switch for now, the correct switch is the Motor craft sw-1597.

When I replaced my headlight switch I was confused at first with the selection of part numbers. They had a description "with (or without) visibility light group and diagnostic warning." I got my replacement switch from NAPA because I wanted an American-made part AND something of a warranty. Was $22.49, plus tax.
SW-1597 crosses over the NAPA Echlin's HL6637. The factory switch is one of those parts the factory didn't design to be very durable.
