It's an 85 in black and silver. Only blue and orange and white and orange available that year. Has ascmclaren in grill should say mercury on 85 cars. Center caps are wrong they are from a vert. Missing buck tag that should say Mclaren coupe. Wrong dash.

How many miles did it have? Looks like a lot.

Way too much needs to be done for a 7K price tag.

As soon as he pulled the cover up I knew I wasn't interested. I just took the pics to show you guys, especially since there was conflicting info on the year and stuff. Even if it was a mint car, I probably wouldn't buy it after you guys pointed out that it's probably a fake. I was just interested because how rare the cars are.

Thanks for all the info you guys provided! Some forums can have an attitude towards a newbie on their site, but you guys were very helpful. Who knows, maybe now that I got my feet wet a little, I'll find a real one some day! I'll be keeping my eye out for a coupe in my neck of the woods. :hello:

Kind of sad, was hoping it was real and you'd get it. So much wrong with this car.

Oh my! Not what I was expecting after seeing the first set of pictures. Thanks for taking all those pictures and posting them here for the rest of us to see. Good luck on your search. I hope something turns up.

Stick around, even if you don't have one. You'll find one eventually. They're out there.

I haven't had one in a few years, but I stay here because these are the best guys on the interweb, plus this is probably the best place to find one in good condition because we network with each other.

By the by, if you're looking for a coupe that you have to do nothing but put gas in, check out Hippy's coupe. He's meticulous and that car is flat gorgeous.

VIN is 1985

Buck tag show "CRS" (Capri 5.0L aka Capri RS) but driver dash bezel is Capri GS/Mustang LX.

Buck tag shows power windows only but car has power locks as well.
