Parts

Post by svo413 »

I have only bought parts from Henry once or twice. Both events were short and no chatting. By phone, Not sure if I got Henry or maybe his brother. I beleve the parts showed up after a considerable wait but complete. I do suggest you verify that you are getting NOS or reproduction parts.

I did meet up with him at a couple of times at car shows. Again, no chit chat, you want parts? Most vendors wiill ask about your car.

I will be ordering some parts soon.

I ordered a set of taillight covers one came cracked he sent a replacement right away. I ordered a stripe kit. The 360 degree stripe was short by 3". When I told him he sent me a whole roll of tape.

I have found that if you want to order parts its best to call him and be very specific with what you want.

I too have purchased several (make that many) parts from Henry over the past few years. I have also met him at car shows and have had some nice conversations. I have had no real problems with the purchases. As with any old, rare cars like ours, parts can be tough. Especially since ours were basically hand made and "no two are alike" seems to run true. So be patient and yes, give him a call so you are both clear what you need.

Henry may not be perfect, but I am happy that at least someone has continued to be a source for these great cars. Don't know where I would be with the restoration without his help.
