I was looking thru the local Facebook Market Place and a 88 McLaren popped up for sale. The surprise was that Iâ€™m 3000 miles from home and itâ€™s less than a mile from where Iâ€™m staying. I scoped it out but itâ€™s in fenced area. Hope to stop in tomorrow, cash in hand.

Very Cool. if its the black or red one. Neither one have a very good wright up and the pictures are not that great. Best of luck.

I saw that one, too, and entered it in the database. The body looks pretty good, but the interior and top are rough. They claim it has 34,000 miles on it, which is a joke. It has to be 134,000 since the last odometer reading was 88,000 on the Carfax report.

It looks like it has been sitting out forever. I'd hate to see the floorboards..

So I looked at it. Interior in not that bad. The rear floor on the passenger side is gone. The front bumpier cover took a hit and the fog lights are gone. Trunk lid is rusted. He told me it was because of the modified spoiler. I told him it was stock asc. The whole right side exhaust is missing. Says it runs well but the new junk battery was dead. They had trouble starting it due to the shifter not going into park. Now the shifter is twisted. Engine is crusty.

Oh, and of course the top is shot.

From 3 foot, it looks good.
