89 Paris Blue

Post by EMartin »

Due to some priority changes of late, I am going to list my 89 Paris Blue for sale.
If anyone on the board has a serious interest, drop me a note. There are some good detailed pictures in my album.

Thanks all,

Eric

In my opinion, next to my twin '90 'Verts, Eric's 1989 Paris Blue (one of eight originally made - a one-year only color - 1989) is about the finest example one could ever hope to find. I originally found it in upstate New Yrok, where it was being sold by the original owner. I could not buy it, as I had just bouight my "Hi Ho Scarlet" (Silver with red leather) and was out of room & car $$$. so I told Eric about it as he had just sold his. I saw the car after Eric took posession and was amazed that someone else "out there" would take the time & effort to keep a car as I do.

If anyone is thinking about, you really need this car. This is the nicest ascMcLaren 4-Sale, out there! 100% mint & original (except for tires & probably battery). THIS the the one you have been waiting for. Paris Blue Metallic, Light & Dark Regatta Blue interior & Atlantic Blue Cambria Cloth Roof, all original.

It makes me sick to see this car leave Eric's possesion. I keep buying lottery tickets, but all I won was $100. (About what I spent ON them) ! As of late, so many of these are being parted out on e-bay. Others out there NEED to be parted out on e-bay :( So many are trashed and thrashed, and have fallen in 16 y.o. hands and they spend a bundle on aftermarket junk and ultimately crash them or trash them to pieces. So few are left like Paris Blue as an original, bone stock. UNmolested, like the Mona Lisa!

What on earth could you have found to take the place of a 1 of 7 (now that 1 has gone to the junk yard) limited edition Mustang with a 302 V8 ?

More Lottery tickets ! Maybe I will get very lucky. I'll win the 250 million, go on TV, the guy will ask me what I am gonna do with it, and I'll say, " I am gonna buy a 16 year old Mustang ! (...and I would!)

Happy new year all. We recently moved so I have been off line for a bit.
Been focused on other things, so yes I still have the Mclaren (tucked away for the winter) and just sent you a PM.

Eric

Question 4-U

In the game of life, over the present & future, how much of an affect
do you think $12,500 will have on you ? Certainly, any bank will lend you $12,500 on your excellent credit and standing in the community. How much of an affect will losing Paris Blue put on you? Will you be a future poster in the thread, "Car(s) I shoulda never sold?" ~ Will I hear you say, " A long time ago, I had one nicer than THAT one and THAT one just sold for $28,300 ~ and mine brought $ 12,500 !! " .....
Hint:
Try & imagine life withOUT Paris Blue ! I could not imagine life without my 3, and I am paying $325.00 @ month storage, over $3,600 a year, to hibernate in non heated freezing cold storage of 3 McLarens. THAT $ 325.00 would sure go a ways to paying monthly utility & telephone charges, but, I threw away my cell phone, thusly no more billings, 'cause I can do without that, but never w/out the "Macs" ~

Really really think about it my dear friend, is all I am trying to impress upon you. :shrug

You are correct Sandy. It isn't about $$$- More about storage space and focusing my energy on finishing the resto of my 70 Buick GS. I have another plan running in parallel to allow me to keep.
