Yeah I would have thought that $65k would do it for a low mileage original in driving condition but coming all the way from Italy probably added expenses to try and recover. Kendal mentioned they were trying to get a desk done off the block but I don’t know if that happened. At least there’s a lot of new M81 information and few sales the last 5 years to create a market compared to when I joined this forum! Sandy was really the only one who had some info at that time.

I'm still kicking myself for not buying the one Dennis Collins lost his shirt on a few years ago. The estimate scared me off and then it went for around $35k
